Aircraft maintenance is the overhaul, repair, inspection or modification of an aircraft or aircraft component. Maintenance may include such tasks as ensuring compliance with Airworthiness Directives. The maintenance of aircraft is highly regulated, in order to ensure safe and correct functioning during flight. National coordinated under international standards, maintained by bodies such as International Civil Aviation organization (ICAO). The maintenance tasks, personnel and inspections are all tightly regulated and staff mu licensed for the tasks they carry out.
Aeronautics is the science or art involved with the study, design and manufacturing of air flight capable machines, and the technique of operating aircraft and rockets within the atmosphere
An aircraft pilot or aviator is a person who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its directional flight controls. Some other aircrew members, such as navigators or flight engineers are also considers aviators, because they are involved in operating the aircraft’s navigations and engine systems. Other aircrew members, such as flight attendants mechanics and ground crew, are not classified as aviators.
